Tai Chi in North Hills Park

  • North Hills Park 2419 Kennington Road Northeast Knoxville, Tennessee, 37917 United States (map)

Slow down, stretch out and enjoy some time outdoors with free Tai Chi classes in the park!

Led by instructor Carrie Murray, these welcoming classes are open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to Tai Chi or have practiced before. Tai Chi uses slow, gentle movements combined with balance, breathing and focused attention. It’s a low-impact practice that can help improve flexibility, balance and overall well-being, and no special experience or fitness level is required.

What to expect:
Classes will include gentle, flowing movements performed at a comfortable pace. Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily and supportive, flat shoes. No special equipment is needed.

Cost:
FREE! Classes are open to everyone, and no registration is required. Just show up and join us.

These classes are fully funded by the North Hills Garden Club in collaboration with the City of Knoxville.

Weather:
Because classes are held outdoors, sessions may be canceled in the event of rain or inclement weather. Cancellations and makeup dates will be posted here and on the North Hills Garden Club Facebook page.
