Celebrating the care that makes North Hills shine.

Since the first boulevard plantings in the 1930s, neighbors have poured care into every tree, bed, and border. The Beautification Awards celebrate that spirit — recognizing the creativity, effort, and pride that make our neighborhood such a joy to walk, gather, and call home.

What began as a simple tradition has grown into one of our most meaningful honors, highlighting not just great gardens, but the community behind them.

1816 North Hills Boulevard

The Clancys’ home is a true North Hills gem — beautifully renovated, full of charm, and a welcoming sight for anyone entering the neighborhood.

But it’s their generosity and spirit that make them stand out most. Stephanie, Art, and Art Jr. are dedicated neighbors who give their time, energy, and space to support the Garden Club and the community.

Their garden, cared for with pollinators in mind, reflects the same thoughtfulness and pride they bring to everything they do.

About the Beautification Award

The Beautification Award is an annual recognition presented by the North Hills Garden Club to honor homeowners who demonstrate outstanding commitment to maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal of our neighborhood. Each year, a select home is chosen for its thoughtful design, healthy plantings, and the way it contributes to the charm of our shared streetscape.

Judging considers overall composition, seasonal interest, maintenance, and how the garden complements its surroundings. More than an aesthetic award, it reflects North Hills’ long tradition of stewardship, civic pride, and neighborhood connection.
